An online philosophy degree is much different than getting a normal philosophy degree because you do not have to physically attend class everyday. It can be a challenge to complete an online philosophy degree because you have to be able to set aside time to complete all of your work. There is no one except for yourself that is going to remind you about the deadlines because there is not role taking for presence at all. With an online philosophy degree you have a lot of flexibility but a lot of times that flexibility can prove to be a problem in the end. This is especially true with people that have trouble sticking to a schedule since there is no official established schedule that they need to follow. With an online philosophy degree the only schedule that exists is the one that they make for themselves to follow. Usually this is taken a little less seriously because if you are late to your schedule or do not do the work then only you will know and no one else. In other instances when you go to school physically not only will you let yourself down but you will be letting down your professor as well. If there is someone else that also knows what your goals are and when you a meeting them it usually makes you want to meet them even more than if nobody else knows about them. So even telling someone that you are working on an online philosophy degree can help give you that extra push to finish. This does not always work for everyone, some people are better off when no one else knows what they are doing so that they can surprise other people on what they have accomplished all on their own.
